Oluwaseun Adewumi (21) has already captured the hearts of numerous Hertha fans. With his goal in the 2-1 victory against Magdeburg, the attacking player propelled Hertha BSC to the top of the table (Match report >>>).

The Austrian has been brought on as a substitute four times in the current 2. Bundesliga season, scoring three goals. On average, he has scored a goal every 33 minutes in the league.

Team Comes First

"He is crazy. Crazy and a great player. And so fast," assist provider Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson is quoted by the "Tagesspiegel".

Adewumi is currently on loan from Burnley. "Unbelievable. I currently have real momentum," the Austrian said, pleased.

He fully accepts the substitute role. "And if I should start, I will be just as ambitious and continue in the same way," he promises, putting his ego aside.

In Berlin, the team spirit is being praised. "It's really top. Everyone is having fun, everyone wants to train, everyone wants to give one hundred percent. And, yes, everything just fits perfectly right now," the Austrian states.

In 2024, he moved from FAC to Burnley. He spent the past two seasons on loan at Dundee FC (Scotland) and Cercle Brugge (Belgium). He currently plays for Hertha.
