10 Goals! ÖFB Goalkeeper Wiegele has a wild afternoon
Florian Wiegele is in goal for the third league game and concedes five goals. Despite this, his club Viktoria Pilsen secures a point.
Florian Wiegele will remember August 8, 2026 for a long time.
The ÖFB goalkeeper is in goal for Viktoria Pilsen in their away match against FK Teplice, his third league game of the new season, where he concedes five goals – yet still secures a point with his club. The encounter ends 5:5.
By the 10th minute, the match already seemed to be heading in a clear direction: The visitors from Pilsen led 3-0 after goals from Hrosovsky (1st), Kabongo (3rd), and Dweh (10th).
Teplice Even Temporarily Turns the Game Around
Marecek breathed new life into Teplice (12th), Radosta reduced the deficit to 2-3 (21st). Vydra at least restored the two-goal cushion (28th), but shortly after, Cermak (35th) made it 3-4 at halftime from Teplice's perspective.
After the restart, the home team even turned the game around: Auta (54th) and Fortelny (59th) scored the eighth and ninth goals of the match, and Teplice suddenly led 5-4. Visinsky finally secured a point for Pilsen (68th).
In the closing stages, Pilsen's Krcik was sent off with a red card after a rough foul (88th).
Wiegele and the six-time Czech champions are still waiting for their first win of the season. The opening match against Slovan Liberec was lost 1-3, and last week they drew 1-1 with 1. FC Brünn.
Teplice, on the other hand, currently leads the table with seven points.
