Austrian Trio Instead of Werder! Bremen Misses Out on Deal with Former Salzburg Player
An Austrian trio would have awaited the Belgian in Bremen, but this is also the case at another club.
An Austrian trio consisting of Alexander Schlager, Marco Friedl, and Marco Grüll is under contract at SV Werder Bremen.
According to transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, Bremen was now working on a deal with a former Salzburg player. Ignace Van der Brempt (24) from Como had reportedly piqued the interest of the North German club.
According to the report, however, Bremen will miss out. The defender is reportedly moving to CFC Genoa. Three Austrians – Elias Havel, David Puczka, and Franz Stolz – also await him there. There is talk of a loan with an obligation to buy. The Belgian has agreed terms with Genoa, with only Como's final approval pending.
