Matthias Braunöder: New Club Comes Calling
A Serie B club is said to have approached Como. Will the Austrian play in the second tier again next season?
Austrian international Matthias Braunöder (24) could soon have a new club. The Burgenland native was on loan from Como to Bari last season, suffering relegation from Serie B with the club at the end of the season.
Given a lack of prospects at Como, he is likely to leave the club a year before his contract expires.
According to transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, second-tier club Virtus Entella is showing interest. The Burgenland native has already made 46 appearances in Serie B during his career, and in 2024, he moved from Austria Wien to Como, who were then a second-tier club.
Virtus Entella finished the past season in Serie B in 14th place.
