Austrian striker Reischl debuts in Eredivisie
The 22-year-old played for about half an hour in his team's 1-4 defeat.
Luka Reischl makes his debut on Sunday for promoted club ADO Den Haag in the Dutch top flight.
The 22-year-old striker makes his maiden appearance in the Eredivisie in the home game against FC Groningen. Reischl is substituted on in the 59th minute.
At this point, the visitors are already leading 3-1. In the final phase, Groningen extends their lead to 4-1.
The promoted side from Den Haag had already suffered a 0-2 defeat against AZ Alkmaar on the first matchday. Reischl remained on the bench during that loss.
Reischl in the Netherlands since 2025
The six-time Austrian U21 international signed a contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg in 2022. However, he did not feature in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga.
Instead, he was a key player for FC Liefering. There, with 103 appearances (20 goals, ten assists), he remains the record player.
In early 2025, Reischl initially moved to ADO Den Haag on loan, then permanently the following summer. In 44 second-division matches in the Netherlands, he scored a total of 15 goals.
