Bad News for David Alaba: Juventus signs new defender
It had already become clear in recent days: The "Old Lady" is signing Jhon Lucumi.
The squad overhaul at Juventus Turin is taking on increasingly concrete forms.
On Monday, the "Old Lady" announced the signing of Jhon Lucumi. The 28-year-old centre-back is leaving FC Bologna and moving within the league to the "Bianconeri".
Juventus is paying a transfer fee of over 20 million euros for the Colombian. He will receive a contract until summer 2030.
This increases Juventus' transfer spending this summer to over 157 million euros.
No Alaba Transfer?
In recent weeks, the "Old Lady" was also reportedly considering a move for David Alaba. However, the ÖFB star was only considered a backup candidate, should the Lucumi deal have fallen through.
