Alaba's Coach Finally on the Brink of Exit
According to multiple reports, the German is expected to be sacked soon. Two names are being floated as potential successors.
David Alaba is expected to get a new coach at his club Udinese Calcio soon.
According to several media outlets, including "Gazzetta dello Sport", Kosta Runjaic is now definitively on the verge of being sacked after the 2:5 defeat against AS Roma.
After ten games, Udinese has five points and is thus in second-to-last place in Serie A. The team's form in recent matches has been particularly catastrophic. They have suffered seven defeats in their last eight games.
Zanetti or Petkovic?
Therefore, the dismissal of Vienna-born Runjaic is expected to be announced shortly.
As successors, Italian media are bringing two names into play. Paolo Zanetti and Vladimir Petkovic are considered the hottest candidates.
Zanetti was most recently employed by Hellas Verona. The Swiss Petkovic was still coaching the Algerian national team at the World Cup.
