Without Alaba: Udinese routed by Roma
The Austrian international cannot participate due to his calf problems. Kosta Runjaic's team remains in a relegation spot after the defeat.
Udinese Calcio suffers a 2-5 thrashing against AS Roma in the tenth round of Serie A.
Without David Alaba, who continues to struggle with calf problems, Udine's defense was outmatched in the first half.
The Giallorossi were 4-0 up after 37 minutes through goals from Cristante (10th), Mora (31st), Malen (33rd), and N'Dicka (37th). Goals two to four came within six minutes.
Udinese Limits the Damage
After the break, former Roma player Zaniolo scored to make it 1-4 for Udinese (50th), and Palma even reduced the deficit to 2-4 (78th). In stoppage time, Ghilardi sealed the 5-2 final score (90.+2).
AS Roma remains undefeated in Serie A and is now only one point behind the leading duo of Inter Milan and Lazio Rome, though they have played one game fewer.
Udinese Calcio remains without a win in its eighth consecutive game, having also collected only one point during this period. This puts them in 19th place in the table.
