Glasner and Schlager Lose All-Austrian Duel Against Schuster
Nottingham Forest finds no way out of the crisis against Brentford FC. Kevin Danso remains on the bench during Sunderland's defeat in Coventry.
Oliver Glasner and Xaver Schlager and Nottingham Forest cannot find a way out of their crisis, suffering a 2-0 defeat against Brentford FC in the ninth round of the Premier League.
An own goal from Milenkovic put the "Bees," for whom Jannik Schuster was on the bench, on the winning track (30'). At halftime, Glasner substituted Schlager, who had previously lost all seven of his challenges in the first half.
Just as the final fifteen minutes began, top scorer Igor Thiago made it 2-0, his shot taking a decisive deflection (76').
Nottingham has been waiting for a positive result since September 12, having collected only one point from five games since then. This currently leaves them in 19th place in England's top flight. Brentford, however, moves up to sixth place.
Danso Watches Sunderland Defeat From The Bench
Kevin Danso remained an unused substitute during Sunderland's 3-1 away defeat to Coventry City.
From the bench, he watched the newly promoted side take a 3-0 lead after 52 minutes, with Sakamoto (17'), Awoniyi (37'), and Rudoni (52') scoring the goals. Le Fee could only pull one back for Sunderland from the penalty spot (67'/P).
With five points, Sunderland remains rooted to the bottom of the table, while Coventry jumps to 15th place.
