Matthias Braunöder talks about last-minute transfer
On Italian Deadline Day, the Austrian international still transferred to Serie B. The 24-year-old feels perfectly at home at his new club so far.
Since early September, Matthias Braunöder has been playing in Serie B for Carrarese Calcio 1908.
Uncertainty long prevailed over his future. It was only clear that he no longer had prospects at Como after his loan spell at AS Bari.
The decision was only made on September 1, the Italian Deadline Day.
"So far, it's working out very, very well"
"Basically, I was completely open about where I would go. But now it has turned out to be Serie B, with which I am very happy," Braunöder explained while speaking to "ORF Burgenland".
Last season, his new club finished in twelfth place. After three matchdays, Carrarese is still waiting for their first win. In the long term, however, the club pursues the goal of establishing themselves higher up.
Braunöder's first impression is definitely positive: "The people make a good impression, the club makes a good impression and so far, it's working out very, very well."
