FC Bayern Munich: Two "flops" on the verge of departure
Three players are expected to leave the German record champions this summer. The future of one player is now reportedly settled.
At FC Bayern Munich, with only a few days to go before the start of the 2026/27 Bundesliga season, one or two departures are still on the cards.
Three players in total are expected to leave the German record champions during the current transfer window. One of them is Bryan Zaragoza: The 24-year-old Spaniard is considered one of the biggest misunderstandings in the club's recent history.
A solution for the winger now appears to have been found.
Back to his homeland
According to Spanish newspaper "AS" and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Bryan Zaragoza is on the verge of a move to Espanyol Barcelona.
The city rivals of mighty FC Barcelona are reportedly set to secure the services of the lively wide player on loan with an option to buy. The deal is said to be as good as finalized.
It would be the fourth loan spell for Zaragoza, who has already been sent to Osasuna, Celta Vigo, and AS Roma since his arrival in spring 2024. His contract at Säbener Straße runs until 2029.
Palhinha also on the verge of departure
With Joao Palhinha (31) and Sacha Boey (25), two more prominent players are up for sale.
A quick resolution is also emerging for the Portuguese midfield enforcer Palhinha. The 37-time international is currently in Lisbon to finalize a transfer to Benfica.
For full-back Sacha Boey, the departure appears to be more complicated: Bayern recently dropped the Frenchman from the squad for the Supercup against BVB, and there are reportedly no concrete offers. Sporting director Max Eberl subsequently made it clear that Boey has no sporting future at Bayern.
