Despite the ongoing sporting crisis, Schalke sporting director Frank Baumann is not considering a coaching change.

The 44-year-old FC Schalke 04 coach is receiving backing from his superior in the midst of his most difficult phase as coach of the "Knappen".

"I think it's very good how he handles the situation. He works very meticulously, is clear and open to new ideas. We are absolutely convinced by his work and our path," says Frank Baumann, Schalke's sporting director, to the "Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung".
The Gelsenkirchen club has now been waiting for a win for six competitive matches, and most recently went four consecutive games without scoring a goal.
System Change as Key to Success?
On the last matchday, the "Knappen" lost 0-2 against RB Leipzig and consequently slipped into a direct relegation spot, but Baumann still sees progress in Muslic's system change to a back four.
The goal remains to secure survival together. "However, we are not panicking after a quarter of the season," the 51-year-old German clarifies.
