The former Salzburg player has been under contract with the "Reds" since 2023 and has developed into an absolute key player during this time. Last season, he scored 13 goals and assisted eleven others.
According to "The Athletic", his new contract is expected to be valid until 2031. A verbal agreement has already been reached, with only the final details needing to be clarified.

The 25-year-old was under contract in Salzburg from 2017 to 2021, before moving to Leipzig.
With a transfer fee of 36 million euros, he remains the most expensive sale in the history of the Salzburg club to date.
