Oliver Glasner is the new coach of Nottingham Forest - a decision that surprised some observers just a few days ago.

In an interview, the Austrian recently clarified the reasons for his move. Nottingham, for him, is a "very historic club" that currently boasts an exciting team. In addition, there is the ambitious owner Evangelos Marinakis.

Goal? "Above all, to stay in the Premier League"

At his first press conference as Nottingham coach, Glasner explained the decision in somewhat more detail. He stated that several clubs had contacted him over the summer.

"I didn't even speak to many other clubs," emphasized the 51-year-old. "Because my main goal was to stay in the Premier League. I really enjoyed the last two and a half years."
