Liverpool FC may have to do without Dominik Szoboszlai in their UEFA Champions League clash with LASK on Wednesday (6:45 PM in the LIVE ticker).

The former Salzburg star missed Sunday's top match against Manchester City (0-3) at short notice due to muscle tightness in his thigh.

The Hungarian returned "overloaded" from the international break, coach Andoni Iraola told "Sky Sports".

Gakpo and Isak also absent

Szoboszlai had played all four Nations League matches for Hungary and was only substituted early against Georgia (80th minute) and Ukraine (87th).

"He tried somehow and fought his way through training, but he didn't feel 100 percent fit," lamented Iraola, who also had to do without offensive players Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak against Manchester City.

Both the Dutchman and the Swede had picked up injuries playing for their countries in their Nations League matches. Their status would be evaluated "day by day," the Liverpool coach had already said last Friday.

Their appearances in Linz are also questionable.
