Despite conviction: US top talent set for ManCity move
The midfielder, who just turned 17, recently made his national team debut.
The USA has a new top talent.
Cavan Sullivan (17), a right winger for MLS club Philadelphia, has set one or two records in recent days and weeks.
The youngest since Freddy Adu
At the age of 16, he became the youngest US national team player since Freddy Adu (January 2006). Shortly before his 17th birthday, Sullivan, who also has roots in Germany and Bangladesh, debuted against Peru.
He was also recently named MLS "Player of the Month," becoming the youngest player ever to receive the award.
His talent has not gone unnoticed by top European clubs. According to "The Athletic", Manchester City, of all clubs, is in pole position. The right-sided player is expected to join the "Skyblues" in January 2028, after his 18th birthday.
ManCity was only a few days ago found guilty of 114 out of 115 breaches of Premier League financial rules.
