Oliver Glasner and Nottingham Forest can celebrate collecting three points for the first time on the fourth matchday of the Premier League.

The "Tricky Trees" secured a 2-1 victory at Aston Villa, celebrating their first competitive win under the Austrian coach (to the match report >>>).

It is also a special success for Xaver Schlager. The Austrian international quickly became a regular starter, once again played the full ninety minutes, and celebrates his first win with Nottingham after his summer move.

Glasner: "Fantastic Performance"

For Glasner, the victory was particularly well-deserved due to the improved performance after the initial phase. "That was 100 percent well-deserved. Great praise goes to the players, because it was a fantastic performance," said the 52-year-old after the match.

After initial problems, his team increasingly found their way into the game. "From the 15th minute," Forest gradually gained control of the match and had two good opportunities before half-time.

Glasner was particularly satisfied with the reaction after the break. "At half-time, we encouraged the players and showed them which spaces we wanted to exploit – and in the second half, they implemented that truly excellently."

"Confidence was clearly palpable"

Record signing Liam Delap put Forest ahead shortly after the restart with a dream goal from around 25 meters. "It was a good shot and luckily it went in," said the goalscorer afterwards.

"Especially after the goal, the confidence was clearly palpable," analyzed Glasner, whose team thereby secured their first Premier League win of the season.

After four matchdays, Nottingham have four points and are in eleventh place. Next Saturday, the next home game awaits against promoted side Coventry City (18:30 in the LIVE ticker).
