Glasner "Really Disappointed" After Last-Minute Defeat
Oliver Glasner suffers a narrow defeat against Leeds in his Premier League debut for Nottingham. On Tuesday there will be a chance for revenge.
"It was the game I expected," says Oliver Glasner after his new club Nottingham Forest's narrow 0-1 defeat against Leeds United.
The start of the league campaign and his Premier League debut with Nottingham were thus unsuccessful.
Free-kick Costs Nottingham a Point
For a long time, it looked like a 0-0 draw, until Stach scored the decisive goal in the 88th minute (to the match report >>>). This came from a free-kick.
"It was a game with very few scoring chances. I'm really disappointed," the coach explained to "BBC".
Especially in the second half, he felt that the game was more under control. Nevertheless, Glasner was already aware of the opponent's free-kick qualities before the duel.
"We all know how good Stach is at taking free-kicks," he emphasized. Especially regarding chance conversion, they still need to improve.
"Must Cope With Home Defeat"
Nevertheless, the defeat does not worry him. They have only been together for a few weeks and still have work ahead of them.
"We wanted to start with a win. Now we have to cope with a home defeat." Nevertheless, they will face Leeds again and then be able to show that they have learned something from the game.
The rematch could take place as early as Tuesday. Leeds will visit Nottingham again in the EFL Cup.
Xaver Schlager also made his debut. The Austrian international was substituted in for the home team.
