Oliver Glasner suffers a late defeat with Nottingham Forest against Leeds United in his Premier League debut.

Former Hoffenheim player Stach scores a free-kick in the 88th minute to secure a 1-0 away win for German coach Farke's team.

In the opening stages, the visitors from Leeds are slightly more active. However, the first clear-cut chance falls to the home team. After a throw-in, Igor Jesus rushes in at high speed. Leeds goalkeeper Trafford saves the Brazilian's header (17').

Just moments later, the VAR intervenes. Nottingham's Aina tackles Justin roughly and receives a yellow card. The video referee reviews the possibility of a red card. Ultimately, it remains a yellow card (17').

The intensity increases, and Leeds celebrates taking the lead after 26 minutes. However, goal-scorer Wilson, who taps in after a cross, is offside. Before the break, Glasner's side then has a good spell, during which a Milenkovic header hits the post (40').

Schlager Debut and Late Leeds Goal

The second half begins with a shot from former Salzburg player Aaronson, whose effort is too central (47').

Subsequently, Nottingham are more dangerous offensively. Igor Jesus again gets a powerful header after a cross, but his bouncing shot lands wide of the goal (55'). Ten minutes later, Wood finds space well up front, but his low shot misses the target (65').

Then Nottingham goalkeeper Sels distinguishes himself with a save from former Wolfsberg player Muharemovic's header (70'). Subsequently, Austrian international Schlager makes his Premier League debut (74').

In the final phase, a set-piece decides the game: Stach sends a sharp free-kick towards the near post, and Sels cannot prevent it from going in (88'). Thus, Leeds can celebrate a narrow 1-0 away win in their Premier League opener.

Crystal Palace loses in Liverpool

Glasner's former club Crystal Palace suffers a 0-2 defeat against Everton FC. Dewsbury-Hall (42') and Barry (53') score to secure the home win for the "Toffees".

Promoted side Ipswich Town secure a 2-1 home victory against AFC Sunderland. Emersonn gives the hosts the lead (24'). Angulo equalizes with a spectacular free-kick goal (39'). Clarke makes Ipswich celebrate again in the 90th minute.
