Manchester United are on the verge of signing Carlos Baleba!
After lengthy negotiations, the "Red Devils" and league rivals Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed on a transfer for the defensive midfielder. This was reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Friday evening.
High Transfer Fee
According to consistent media reports, a transfer fee of around 76 million Euros will be paid. An additional six million can be added in bonus payments.
Baleba himself had already agreed personal terms with United some time ago.
In Manchester, the 22-year-old Cameroonian will succeed Casemiro, who moved to Inter Miami. The 22-cap international moved from Lille to Brighton in summer 2023 for 27 million Euros.
Third Midfield Newcomer
At the "Seagulls," the midfielder established himself as a key player, making 112 appearances.
For the "Red Devils," Baleba is already the third new addition to the central midfield. Previously, Youri Tielemans (from Aston Villa) and Andrey Santos (Chelsea) had already arrived at Old Trafford.
