Confirmed! Kevin Danso leaves Tottenham
The Austrian defender stays on the island and moves on loan within the Premier League. The deal includes an obligation to buy.
The move is now official: centre-back Kevin Danso (27) leaves Tottenham and moves to Sunderland within the Premier League.
According to "The Athletic", the loan fee is around three million euros. The obligation to buy is approximately 26 million euros and will be triggered if Sunderland avoids relegation this season.
In that case, Danso would sign a four-year contract with the "Black Cats".
Danso knows Sunderland's Sporting Director
The defender had submitted a transfer request to the Spurs before today's Deadline Day. He has not yet featured in the Premier League this season.
Last year, the 27-year-old won the Europa League with Tottenham.
Danso knows Sunderland's sporting director Florent Ghisolfi from their time together at RC Lens.
