Kühbauer Eight More Times in a Suit - "My Wife is Already Scared"

Now Dietmar Kühbauer is also a Champions League coach.

The Burgenländer, who has now achieved everything a coach can achieve in Austria, can now measure himself against the greatest of his profession.

Entry into the "Königsklasse" is the provisional highlight of Kühbauer's personal fairy tale, which began in October 2025 with his return to Linz.

"Like a Hollywood Movie"

"It's like a Hollywood movie. You come here, we're basically at rock bottom, then we win the Cup, and all of a sudden you add the championship to that. When you achieve something like that, you often notice that the players lose focus," the 55-year-old says, pleased that his team has seamlessly built on the 2025/26 double season so far.

Against Celtic, his team "delivered their masterpiece. What they did today was a high bar."

Stylish New Look

For Kühbauer, LASK's entry into the "Königsklasse" means he can present his stylish new suit on the sidelines at least eight more times, which he wore for the first time for the Champions League playoff.

"I look good in it, I'm that confident. My wife is already a little scared. But I'm super happy with her. The suit will continue to be worn, and I'll still have my wife for another ten to fifteen years - if I live that long," said Kühbauer in his usual manner.
