Concussion! LASK hero saw double
Florian Flecker headed LASK into extra time against Celtic and suffered a head injury in the process.
from Simon Urhofer
He is one of LASK's great Champions League heroes: Florian Flecker.
The Styrian, currently limited to a substitute role, was brought into the showdown against Celtic (Match report>>>) in the final phase for the injured Kasper Jörgensen and headed his Linz team into extra time in stoppage time.
In the process, the 30-year-old collided with Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo, remained briefly dazed on the ground, and actually had to be substituted again in extra time with a suspected concussion.
"It's a shame for him that he banged his head. He then saw double. I told him: 'You're seeing two balls, that's worth something too. Maybe you'll hit at least one'," joked Dietmar Kühbauer after the match.
Somewhat more seriously, the Burgenland native added: "He knows what I mean. I hope it's nothing worse."
