"Dream has come true" - LASK celebrates the miracle of Linz
LASK pulls off the miracle of Linz against Celtic. This is what goal scorers Samuel Adeniran and Robert Ljubicic had to say shortly after the match.
LASK makes history against Celtic Glasgow.
Incredible comeback! LASK plays in the Champions League for the first time >>>
Despite a 0-3 deficit in the first leg and an early setback in Linz, the comeback was still achieved. Thanks to an incredible display (of will), Kühbauer's squad won 5-1 after 120 minutes and thus qualifies for the Champions League main draw for the first time.
After the miracle! These opponents await LASK in the CL >>>
"It's unbelievable. I truly believed in it, I'm so proud of my teammates," says brace-scorer and match-winner Samuel Adeniran after the historic match.
The "unshakeable" LASK
The American emphasizes his team's comeback qualities: "To come back like that after a 0-3 deficit - a dream has come true. I cried after the final whistle. Only Jesus could have helped me there."
The Linz side is "unshakeable. No matter what setbacks we have to endure. Every single one of us performed incredibly."
Ljubicic: "The players showed balls"
The manner in which LASK came back also impressed goal scorer Robert Ljubicic. Because even after McGregor's goal for 0-1 after 21 minutes, they didn't give up.
"The players showed balls today. To come back like that after being 0-1 down and 0-3 from the first leg, that's immense quality and mentality," explains Ljubicic, who scored for 2-1 in the 48th minute.
The summer signing also emphasizes: "It was an incredible night, I've never experienced anything like it."
