Millions at stake!
For LASK, Salzburg, Rapid, and Austria Wien, the European Cup playoff is not just about qualifying for the league phase, but also about significant money.
Especially for LASK, a lot is at stake: a Champions League qualification would bring the Linz team around 18.6 million Euros in UEFA premiums. In total, even 20 to 25 million Euros are possible.
But Salzburg, Rapid, and Austria also stand to gain several million Euros, depending on their performance.
