Following Poster Campaign: Rapid Addresses Ronaldo Rumours
Since the start of the week, posters appealing for donations for a Ronaldo transfer have appeared in Vienna. The club has now issued a statement.
A series of posters in Vienna is currently raising eyebrows!
Also, directly at the stadium in Vienna Hütteldorf, a several-meter-long poster with the inscription "Meaning of Life - For Ronaldo. Green-White donates. Join in!" can be found, complete with a QR code.
SK Rapid now announces that this poster campaign was not initiated by the club.
"No Comments on Transfer Speculation"
Sporting Director Markus Katzer commented on the Ronaldo rumours in a club statement: "Of course, we have also seen the posters by now and noticed that they are being discussed and speculated about. However, the fundamental rule applies, which we always state regarding other names and transfer rumours: SK Rapid does not comment on possible or not possible transfers, nor on speculation or rumours."
He further added: "Should there be anything to announce in this area, we will do so, as usual, at the appropriate time via our official channels."
