Sturm's opponent alters squad just before clash
Because a new signing was so convincing in a friendly, the Scots altered their squad shortly before the CL qualifying match. One player had to make way.
Sturm Graz kicks off their UEFA Champions League qualification campaign on Tuesday with the second round. In the first leg, the league runners-up host Scottish club Hearts of Midlothian (from 8:30 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).
Their opponents have made a squad change just one day before the match, even though the list was originally published last week. However, UEFA rules allow for two changes at this stage of the competition.
Brace altered squad
The club is now capitalizing on this. New signing Amadou Ba-Sy was not originally included in the squad, but after a brace in the friendly against Rayo Vallecano (2:1), he is now on board for the match.
The 25-year-old joined from French club FC Rouen at the beginning of July. Winter signing Rogers Mato, however, must relinquish his spot in the 22-man squad.
