Masterclass! Barca clearly beat Feyenoord in CL opener

FC Barcelona gets a dream start in the first round of the 2026/27 CL league phase.

The Catalans defeat Feyenoord Rotterdam 5-1 on Wednesday evening at their home ground, Camp Nou.

While the "Blaugrana" secure their fifth win in their fifth competitive match, the 19-game unbeaten streak of the visitors from the Netherlands comes to an end.

Furious Start

After a good start by the visitors, VfB takes the lead: Ermedin Demirovic, who was linked with a move to Galatasaray in the summer, guides the ball into the net with an outside-of-the-foot shot off the crossbar (20').

Thus, the Bosnian international striker is the first VfB player to score a hat-trick in the Champions League or European Cup.

In the second half, the visitors have more of the ball, but a comeback never materializes. Instead, Stuttgart has good chances for a fourth goal shortly before the end. Ultimately, it remains 3-1, with VfB starting their Champions League season with a win.
