Kevin Wimmer has put Slovan Bratislava in a strong position for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round.

The former ÖFB defender won the first leg 2-0 against Georgian champions FC Iberia 1999. Wimmer played the full match.

Both goals came in the first half and within six minutes: Top scorer Sporar opened the scoring in the 25th minute, which Yirajang quickly extended (31.).

However, Slovan was fortunate that two Iberia goals - Bedoshvili in the 5th minute and Kobuladze in the 63rd minute - were disallowed by VAR for offside.

Kreidl loses first leg

Johannes Kreidl and KuPS lost the first leg 0-1 against Sabah FK.

The only goal of the game was scored by Simic (45'+1) for the Azerbaijani champions. Earlier, Kreidl had already been beaten by Rakhmonaliyev, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul in the build-up (33.).

The second leg will take place next week in Kuopio, Finland.
