U21 EURO 2029 also in Hütteldorf? Rapid fan scene would not be pleased
During the Bundesliga clash with Hartberg, a stand is taken against the plan to consider the Weststadion in the bid.
The Austrian Football Association has applied to host the U21 EURO 2029 - and has included the stadiums of Wiener Austria and Rapid in its bid.
While the potential hosting of final tournament matches at the Weststadion - as the Allianz Stadion is officially named for international occasions - is welcomed by the club itself and SK Rapid underlined its support, the fan scene, as expected, is less pleased with the idea.
Representing the fan scene, Tornados Rapid displayed a banner during the Bundesliga clash with TSV Hartberg against possible final tournament matches in Hütteldorf, as the general idea of games without the involvement of a Rapid team - true to the motto "Only Rapid in Hütteldorf" - is rejected.
