FC Red Bull Salzburg will not play their last friendly match before the start of the competitive season against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.

The final friendly against the South African club was cancelled following the death of Jayden Adams. The 25-year-old passed away just days after participating in the World Cup with South Africa and was on the books of last year's Club World Cup participant.

The search for a replacement opponent and a venue is underway; the match will in any case be held behind closed doors.

On Wednesday, the Bulls will play two friendly matches: At 3:00 PM, they will face Japanese club Gamba Osaka in Anif, and at 6:30 PM, they will play Turkish club Basaksehir Istanbul in Nonntal.
