Salzburg likely pushing for signing of Torino winger
The Swede and the "Bulls" are said to have already agreed on a contract until 2031. Negotiations with FC Torino are expected to continue.
FC Red Bull Salzburg has been linked with a duo from FC Torino for several days: Gvidas Gineitis and Alieu Njie.
While Salzburg's interest in central midfielder Gineitis is likely to have cooled somewhat, the "Bulls" are apparently pushing for the signing of 21-year-old winger Njie.
Will Salzburg and Torino reach an agreement?
As "Sky" reporter Luca Bendoni reports on Gianluca Di Marzio's website, the "Bulls" have submitted a final offer of twelve million euros for Njie. The offer is said to include a sell-on clause. According to sports journalist Nicolo Schira, this amounts to 25 percent.
Previously, Salzburg is said to have presented an offer for the Swede amounting to ten million euros plus two million euros in bonuses.
Meanwhile, the player and FC Red Bull Salzburg are also said to have already agreed on a move, including a contract until 2031.
However, "TUTTOmercatoWEB" reports that FC Torino values Njie at 16 to 18 million euros. Negotiations are said to be ongoing.
Crystal Palace – the Premier League club apparently also showing interest in Njie – could also enter the bidding with another offer.
Missed Cup Match
Njie is under contract with Valentino Lazaro's former club until 2029. The six-time Swedish U21 international has so far made 35 appearances for Torino (two goals, one assist).
On Saturday, he missed the cup match against Carrarese (1-0 win for Torino) due to muscle fatigue.
