SK Sturm: Why Jeyland Mitchell was excused from duty
The defender is likely to leave SK Sturm Graz this summer. Coach Fabio Ingolitsch explains why he is missing from the squad against Altach.
Jeyland Mitchell's time at SK Sturm Graz could come to an end in the coming days.
The 21-year-old central defender is targeting a transfer to French top-flight club Racing Strasbourg.

It is highly possible that Mitchell has already played his last game for SK Sturm. The Costa Rican is indeed missing from the squad for Saturday's Bundesliga match against SCR Altach (LIVE ticker >>>).
Ingolitsch explains Mitchell's absence
Mitchell made it clear to Sturm officials that he wants to move to Strasbourg, explains Sturm coach Fabio Ingolitsch on "Sky".
"He approached us and expressed a clear desire for a change," says Ingolitsch.
A deployment against Altach would therefore not have made sense. "We reached an agreement with him that if he doesn't feel capable and mentally ready, we would excuse him from duty," explains the Sturm coach.
Another appearance for Sturm is not particularly realistic. "We will try to work together on a transfer," says Ingolitsch.
