Report: Salzburg set to sign Polish attacking talent
The club from Salzburg is expected to reinforce its attack soon. A Polish U19 international is on the verge of a multi-million transfer to Salzburg.
FC Red Bull Salzburg could announce their next transfer for the upcoming season as early as this week.
As Polish journalist Tomasz Wlodarczyk reports, the club from Salzburg is reportedly on the verge of signing Bartosz Mazurek.
The Polish U19 international is currently still under contract with Jagiellonia Białystok in his home country but is expected to take the next step this summer.
Deal reportedly done
According to the report, Mazurek is scheduled to undergo his medical examination on Wednesday and subsequently sign a long-term contract with the "Bulls."
The deal is said to be final. Salzburg is expected to transfer a fee of 7.5 million euros to the Polish top-flight club for the attacking midfielder. The sum could increase with additional bonuses.
Hat-trick against AC Fiorentina
Mazurek made 35 appearances for the senior team last season, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
In February, he also made a big impression in the UEFA Conference League knockout stage, scoring a hat-trick against AC Fiorentina.
