The Upper Austria Derby between SV Ried and LASK next Saturday (7:30 PM) is apparently already casting its shadow ahead.

As the "Oberösterreichischen Nachrichten" report, a large choreography has gone missing from a Ried fan club. The choreography is said to have been stolen from an exhibition hall near the stadium in recent days.

"There has been no formal complaint, but after an officer familiar with the scene became aware of the theft or permanent deprivation of property, we launched an investigation," said Thomas Hasenleitner, deputy district police commander for Ried and operations manager for SV Ried's home matches, to the "OÖN".

Contentious Derby

The exact circumstances of the theft are currently unclear. "This prior incident naturally makes the police deployment for Saturday's match even more contentious, even though it is already considered a high-risk game," said Hasenleitner.

The police presence is now to be increased once again.
