"We must learn": Hartberg optimistic despite poor start

Poor start for TSV Hartberg! After the late defeat in Salzburg, the East Styrians also had to suffer a 0-2 defeat against SK Sturm Graz in the Styrian derby (to the match report>>>).

After a largely balanced first half, the second yellow card for Konstantin Schopp in the 60th minute was the turning point.

Schopp laments sending-off

Markus Schopp was particularly annoyed on "Sky" after the match about the second yellow card for his son. He found the first warning for kicking the ball away incomprehensible. However, for the second card due to a shirt pull, the centre-back should have been more careful.

"But what we told him is that he actually played an impeccable game until the 61st minute."

At the same time, Schopp sees great potential in the young centre-back: "Clearly, he has to learn. But I believe, the way he approaches things, he is on a very good path."

Lukas Spendlhofer saw Hartberg especially on the right track in the first half.

"I believe that we played a good game in the first half, with room for improvement, but that we played pretty much what you need to put on the pitch against Sturm Graz."

After the difficult opening schedule with Salzburg and Sturm, it's now about drawing the right conclusions. "The small individual errors are not forgiven against Sturm and Salzburg; we must learn from that."
