Hartberg's Winning Joy on the Rise: "It Feels Good!"

TSV Hartberg has truly found their form this season!

With a 3-2 home victory over SV Ried, the East Styrians celebrated their second consecutive league win and can also cheer for the first time in the Profertil Arena.

Particularly in the spotlight for Schopp's team were two-goal scorer Marco Hoffmann and match-winner Jonas Karner.

Hartberg Coach Schopp after the win: "I'm totally satisfied"

Naturally, the home success brought great joy to TSV. Although the East Styrians had given away both their 1-0 and 2-1 leads, they ultimately held onto their third lead until the final whistle.

"I am totally satisfied with the performance. We always had good answers to the opposition's goals," explained TSV coach Markus Schopp. Despite five goals in the last two games after three goalless matches at the start of the season, Schopp still sees a need for action in attack.

"We still need a bit more depth. However, we want to act very thoughtfully if we bring in anyone else," promised the 52-year-old.

Match-winner Karner: "I'm very proud of the team"

The Hartberg coach also showed a golden touch in the second half. Shortly after the 2-2 equalizer, he substituted Jonas Karner.

The 21-year-old needed only five minutes for his debut goal in the Bundesliga. "It feels really good! The three points are important and I'm very proud of the team," said the Hartberg midfielder.

Alongside Karner, two-goal scorer Marco Hoffmann was, of course, a key figure from TSV's perspective. "It's an enormously important victory after a difficult start to the season," said the forward.

Pfeifer after returning to TSV: "It really feels good!"

Manuel Pfeifer's return also brought smiles to the full-back himself and to the coaching bench. The 26-year-old only returned to East Styria a few days ago after his time in Germany with 1860 München.

"It really feels good! We have a great squad and a young, hungry team," the 26-year-old stated. "We have very high standards and want to play attractive football. But we also know where we come from and have to push ourselves to the limit every week. There are no easy opponents for us," he added.

Ried Coach Despotovic: "It's naturally disappointing"

For the Innviertlers, the mood was, of course, different. Ried remained winless in their third away game and stands at just four points after five matches.

"It's naturally disappointing. We need to make more of our ball recoveries and be more stable," said Ried coach Mario Despotovic. The Croat and his team still face "a process in which we want to look bravely forward."

Now, the league routine will be interrupted next week by the ÖFB Cup. Hartberg must travel to Upper Austria to face Vorwärts Steyr (on Sunday at 7:00 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).
