TSV Hartberg celebrates a narrow 3-2 home victory over SV Oberbank Ried in the fifth round of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga.

The East Styrians could celebrate an early lead. Lukas Malicsek was clearly late in the Ried penalty area against Youba Diarra. Marco Hoffmann converted the penalty precisely and semi-high into the left corner (6').

But Ried provided the appropriate response. TSV goalkeeper Armin Pecsi spilled a long-range shot from Jussef Nasrawe, before Samuel Chukwudi tapped in the 1-1 equalizer (11').

Hartberg also squanders their re-taken lead

Hartberg then remained somewhat more dangerous in offensive actions and earned another lead before halftime. Hoffmann easily slotted the ball into the net from close range after a Wilfinger cut-back for a 2-1 lead (38').

After halftime, Ried became more active and clearly recorded more possession. Consequently, the Despotovic-eleven also managed to equalize. Evan Eghosa scored with his back to goal, with a backheel, making it 2-2 (64').

Kerner scores for the third lead and secures Hartberg's victory

However, the Schopp-eleven was not rattled by this. Just five minutes after being substituted on, Jonas Kerner found the net from about 20 meters into the left corner, securing Hartberg's third lead (71').

Ultimately, the Schopp-eleven held onto their third, narrow advantage until the final whistle, claiming their second consecutive victory after the 2-1 win in Altach. Ried, meanwhile, suffered their third defeat in their fifth league match.
