TSV Hartberg celebrated a clear 4-0 away victory against GAK on Friday evening.

However, coach Markus Schopp's joy over the victory after the game was limited.

"He broke something"

Most notably, referee Isa Simsek's performance greatly angered the 52-year-old. After just a few seconds, Alexander Hofleitner committed an unnecessary and serious foul on Hartberg player Paul Komposch.

The defender then had to be substituted and, according to Markus Schopp, is in the hospital.

"He broke something," confirmed the coach after the game in an interview with "Sky." However, Hofleitner did not receive a yellow card for his foul – much to Schopp's annoyance.

The Styrian therefore holds the referees accountable: "My player is seriously injured. I demand that the referees prepare themselves. For me, it defies all logic that the player is still on the pitch."

"The directive is not to foul players"

Schopp recalled the situation from the Graz derby, when a similar action led to the serious injury of Sturm goalkeeper Daniil Khudyakov. The referee should be prepared for this aggressive style of play from the Graz team, emphasized the Hartberg coach.

GAK coach Gerald Scheiblehner, however, considers the comparison of the two incidents "unfair." He also clarified: "The directive is not to foul players."

"Dad will give me a smack at home"

Goal scorers Marco Hoffmann and Nikolaus Feldhofer were in a significantly better mood. Feldhofer was cautioned with a yellow card after his provocative goal celebration towards the GAK fans.

In a post-match interview, the son of former GAK coach Ferdinand Feldhofer said with a laugh: "Dad will give me a smack at home."

The 19-year-old calmly commented on Feldhofer's apparent developing knack for scoring goals with a jab at his father: "I haven't learned much from my dad."

"I'm still a few short"

His teammate Marco Hoffmann leads the ADMIRAL Bundesliga scoring chart with eight goals after his brace. However, the 22-year-old has a specific number of goals in mind: "Goals have been set, I'm still a few short," the Hartberg striker aims high.

Hoffmann commented on his 1-0 goal with his heel with a chuckle: "One has to say it was taken brilliantly!"

Things are currently going well for Hartberg.
