Striker returns to SV Ried
Bernd Gschweidl transfers back to the Innviertel from SKN St. Pölten.
The 30-year-old Bernd Gschweidl joins SV Ried after his contract with SKN St. Pölten expired.
The Stockerau native already played for the "Vikings" between 2019 and 2021. After an ACL tear in 2025, he saw little action last season with the Lower Austrians.
For the time being, the experienced striker is primarily intended to support Ried's second team and use his experience to assist the young players.
In his professional career to date, Gschweidl has accumulated a total of 96 Bundesliga appearances and 137 games in the 2. Liga.
