"The Worst Moment" - GAK Devastated After Debacle

After the match, coach Ferdinand Feldhofer was devastated and dismayed by today's performance.

"To have to experience this as well"

"It is truly very, very difficult right now to have had to experience this as well. It is not very pleasant," said the coach in the "Sky" interview after the match.

The former Rapid player spoke candidly and at the press conference spoke of the "worst moment as a player and as a coach". He also added on "Sky": "In my career, it is the darkest moment I have ever experienced sportingly."

A Reorientation is Needed

After the game, Feldhofer showed understanding for the fans' frustration: "Today the fans are all right - with an 8-0 score. It's clear that the fans are upset." Even if the players on the field deliver the performance or non-performance, the coach also bears the responsibility, according to Feldhofer: "Then the coach is always the first point of contact."

Krankl Expects Feldhofer's Exit

While "Sky" expert Andreas Herzog "would wish" for Feldhofer to remain at GAK, his colleague Hans Krankl considered the situation to be significantly more hopeless.

"I also wish him the best. But I don't share Andi's opinion. I think that was it," said the former top striker. There had already been unrest beforehand, as also seen on the "Feldhofer out" banner. "I think some things aren't right. I see a bleak future for him (Feldhofer, Ed. note)."
