Defeat for WSG - Altach, Lustenau and Ried claim victories
Four Bundesliga teams tested on Friday. While WSG had to concede defeat to a top Ukrainian team, the Vorarlberg sides defeated Swiss teams.
A total of four ADMIRAL Bundesliga teams used Friday for friendly matches.
WSG Tirol suffered a defeat. The Wattens-based club had to concede a 1-2 defeat to Ukrainian first-division side FK Polissja Schytomyr in Schwaz.
Bundesliga promoted side Austria Lustenau won 1-0 against Swiss second-division team FC Aarau. New signing Precious Benjamin scored the goal in the 54th minute.
SV Ried also successfully played a friendly double-header against Istanbul Basaksehir: After a 1-1 draw in the 3:00 PM match (Davie Selke scored for the Turkish club, Stefan Schwab equalized from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute), they secured a 2-1 victory in the game two hours later.
Sefiwu Abubakar (43') and Nevio Zotz (90') scored for the Innviertel-based side, who predominantly fielded youngsters in the second 90-minute game.
Meanwhile, SCR Altach won in Götzis against FC Vaduz - the Altach-based side prevailed 1-0 against the new Super League club. The only goal was scored by centre-back Filip Milojevic with a header following a corner kick from Patrick Greil shortly before halftime.
