Jatta's Golden Goal! Sturm Edges Past Altach
While the Graz side can thank their keeper in the first half, the "Blackies" strike late in the second half.
SK Sturm secures their first Bundesliga home win of the new season in the 3rd round of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga against SCR Altach.

Khudyakov Keeps Sturm in the Game
However, the Graz side doesn't get off to a good start; the midweek defeat against Fenerbahce seems to still be affecting the "Blackies".
Altach was clearly the better team in the first half, creating very good chances to take a 1-0 lead between the 20th and 30th minutes. But Sturm's strongest player, Daniil Khudyakov, made three strong saves (23', 24', 28').
In the 34th minute, Greil missed a sitter: Diawarra first won the duel against Soglo and played the ball into the middle, where Patrick Greil, alone in front of goal from about three meters out, smashed the ball well over the crossbar (34')!
Jatta Decides the Match
The second half started better for Sturm, and Altach no longer created chances as easily.
In the 70th minute, the approximately 15,000 fans raised their hands in celebration for the first time! However, Jatta's headed goal after a corner from Seidl was disallowed due to an earlier foul by Weinhandl on Stojanovic following a VAR check.
But only a little later, it finally happened: After an almost identical corner, Jatta once again rose highest and headed in to give the Graz side the lead. This time the goal counted! It was the Norwegian striker's first goal of the season (78').
In the end, Sturm held on to the lead and celebrated their first Bundesliga home win of the young season. The Graz side is now on seven points, while Altach remains on three points after their win against WSG.
