Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz is wary ahead of the Cup Round of 16, but remains confident.

After their penalty shootout victory against FAC, the team will now face Red Bull Salzburg.

"Only a Ländle derby would have been better! We go into the match as clear underdogs, but perhaps Salzburg will underestimate us," sports coordinator Patrick Schneider is quoted by "Krone" as saying.

Bregenz also hopes for successful revenge. In 2020, they were dismantled 0-10 by the "Bulls" in the first round. "That won't happen again," says Schneider.

Lustenau and Altach against Styrian clubs

Additionally, other clubs from the Ländle are represented in the next round. While Altach will face GAK, Lustenau must prove themselves against Vice-Champion Sturm Graz.

Coach Markus Mader speaks of a "super draw." The opponent is attractive, and the stadium will be full. Moreover, they know what awaits the team, he reports to the media outlet.

In Altach, however, they are cautious. "GAK is an opponent at eye level. It won't be an easy game," says coach Ognjen Zaric.

Nevertheless, Schneider believes advancing is achievable for all three clubs. "Anything is possible in the Cup," he explains.
