Helm with an appeal: "We need backing, otherwise..."

Wiener Austria can at least temporarily breathe a sigh of relief.

Against regional league team FCM Traiskirchen, the "Violets" achieved the expected mandatory win in the UNIQA ÖFB Cup (Match Report>>>). With many, some very beautiful goals, some self-confidence could finally be gathered.

"Today, in terms of performance and result, it was what we wanted. We wanted to play very positively today, after we were all very disappointed with the WSG match," Coach Stephan Helm said, breathing a sigh of relief into the "ORF" microphone.

He is particularly pleased about the goals scored by youngsters Hasan Deshishku and Daniel Nnodim: "When you see the joy you get when Hasan or Dani score goals, you just have to give us time."

Helm with an appeal to FAK management?

After the recent setbacks, the Burgenländer repeatedly called for patience with the chosen, very young path. On Saturday, a similar appeal from him, possibly directed at the purple club management, could be heard:

"If you decide to take this path, you shouldn't immediately allow great pressure to arise. There must be people in the club who watch over them. We need backing, otherwise it will be difficult."

No more double burden - "The team needs this time"

Following the Europa League exit, the current week was the last "English week" for FAK for the foreseeable future. Helm expects a lot from the elimination of this double burden:

"Of course, it's a different rhythm now. We can prepare for matches; the team needs this time. The young players simply need training to take the next steps."
