Blau-Weiß Linz extends with key player
The defensive all-rounder pledges his loyalty to the Steel City club beyond the current season. He has been wearing the blue-and-white jersey since 2023.
From qualifying for the championship group of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga to relegation to the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, Alem Pasic has experienced it all at FC Blau-Weiß Linz.
As confirmed on Thursday, the joint journey will continue beyond the current season. His new contract runs until at least summer 2028. In the event of promotion to the Bundesliga, the contract will be extended by another year.
The 29-year-old joined from Vorwärts Steyr in summer 2023 and has since played 85 competitive matches. This season, he has started every single match without exception.
Pasic: "Far more than just a stop in my career"
Sporting Director Christoph Schößwendter emphasizes his leadership qualities above all: "Alem is now playing his 4th season at FC Blau-Weiß Linz and has developed over the past few years, both on and off the pitch, into an absolute leader, a key player, and an iconic figure. Alem is a hard worker who leads the way with great intensity and passion. I am very pleased that he has extended his contract with us and will be an important factor in achieving our goals."
Alem Pasic looks forward to the shared future with great anticipation: "I have been at FC Blau-Weiß Linz for four years now. During this time, the club has become far more to me than just a stop in my career. I have experienced an incredible amount here, celebrated great moments, gone through difficult phases, and above all, built a strong connection with the club, the team, and the fans. It was clear to me that my journey here at Blau-Weiß Linz is not yet over. I will give everything to achieve our big goal with the team: promotion back to the Bundesliga."
