Injury Blow! Blau-Weiß New Signing Ruled Out
After two opening wins, the first setback followed in training this week. An ankle injury will lead to a lengthy forced break.
The start to the ADMIRAL 2. Liga season for FC Blau-Weiß Linz went perfectly from a sporting perspective.
With six points and a goal difference of 6:0, the relegated Bundesliga side leads the table after two matchdays. However, this week the Steel City club had to accept the first setback.
Ristanic also unavailable
As "OÖN" reports, summer new signing Mauro Hämmerle suffered an ankle injury in training. As a result, Austria's U19 international will be missing for several weeks for the Bundesliga relegated side.
The 18-year-old centre-forward had moved from FC Augsburg II to Linz this summer. He made short appearances in both of the first two league games.
In the next league match against SKN St. Pölten, head coach Michael Köllner will also have to do without Filip Ristanic. The club announced this in a press release.
