Ahead of the crucial playoff to reach the Champions League group stage against LASK, Celtic Glasgow fears for Alistair Johnston.

The Scottish champions' starting right-back was substituted at halftime in the last league match against Kilmarnock FC – initially, it was said to be just a precaution due to minor discomfort after the game.

However, according to a report from the "Scottish Sun", the Canadian could now face a longer spell on the sidelines. The outlet does not provide further details on the health status of the Canadian World Cup participant. The desired move to FC Everton, which was supposed to be completed after the playoff, is now also in danger of falling through.

With attacking player Mika Baur, who is set to join from SC Paderborn for six million pounds, and left-back Landon Emenalo, who is expected to arrive on loan from FC Chelsea, two new signings could still make it onto the squad list for the Champions League.
