At the start of the third round of the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, Hertha Wels loses 1-2 to Rapid II. The Hütteldorf side thus celebrates their second win of the season.

In the sixth minute, the home side created their first major chance. Kregar managed to reach a long pass on the left wing and deliver a sharp ball into the middle. Wernitznig took the shot, but goalkeeper Orgler was perfectly positioned at the near post.

Rapid created their first clear-cut chance through 17-year-old Jakupi (16'). The Wels keeper came out well and prevented the goal.

Little happened for a long time thereafter. It was not until the 42nd minute that the young Rapid side created their next very dangerous situation. Djezic latched onto a perfectly weighted through ball from Music in the box and was able to slot it into the near post from the right half-space, making it 0-1. It was the 20-year-old's second goal of the season.

Shortly after, the equalizer came. Sahin delivered a corner into the box. The Green-Whites' goalkeeper, Laurenz Orgler, misjudged the ball, allowing Nicolas Keckeisen to head it in centrally (55').

In the 64th minute, Rapid II's offside trap completely failed. Once again, it was Wernitznig who was able to run clear on goal. Orgler came out early and fortunately defused the situation.

The match picked up pace. U17 Vice World Champion Jozepovic had a chance for his first Rapid goal (69'). The ball even went past the goalkeeper, but a Wels defender slid in on the line and managed to clear.

In the closing stages, Rapid II took the lead again. A low corner kick from the right was flicked on by Gröller with his heel. Veteran Kerschbaum was perfectly positioned and was able to tap it in for 2-1 (82').

Rapid II now looked to seal the deal. In the 85th minute, the young Hütteldorf side created a quadruple chance. The Wels goalkeeper distinguished himself multiple times, making several brilliant saves. Substitute Berger also failed to beat keeper Schröcker (90+3').

Thus, the score remained 2-1 for Rapid II, who climbed to third place in the table.
