Elena Curtoni has made a decision about her future.
The Italian speed specialist will not end her career yet and will also compete in the 2026/27 season.
After 291 World Cup races, four victories, and 13 podium finishes, it is clear for the 35-year-old: The upcoming season will be her last.
Curtoni reveals injury during preparation
On Instagram, Curtoni explained her decision: "It hasn't been an easy summer so far. I got injured, a 'small' injury right at the beginning of preparation. I had to prove myself again, with many new doubts, but also with new goals. In the end, it's true: if it were easy, everyone would do it."
Now she looks forward to her farewell season with excitement: "Now I can say it calmly: I will be at the start of the 2026/27 season. It will be my last season. I can't wait to enjoy every single moment of it."
